Sensory Winery & Art Gallery is proud to present "The Art of Bonsai for Beginners", taught by Trenton Lutes as part of their first Sensory Summer Art Series.
Trenton will instruct the beginning bonsai enthusiast in the techniques needed to turn a standard nursery stock plant into their very own bonsai. Trenton will discuss briefly the history of bonsai, the most common styles of bonsai, the specialized tools and general bonsai care. In creating the bonsai, Trenton will instruct the class how to find the front and line of the tree, pruning and pinching, and basic wiring techniques.
The class fee will include: 1 nursery stock plant, 1 bonsai pot, soil and wire.
Trenton asks that you please be aware that bonsai is a hands on technique and that you will most likely get dirty. He asks that you please dress appropriately, or consider bringing an apron.
Free food and wine samples will be provided to class participants compliments of Sensory Winery.
For registration please contact Trenton via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or via cell at 315-383-9145. Cost will be $40 per person or $75 per couple. Registration deadline is June 28th and class size is limited.
